23 Students Found Taking Fake KPSEA Exams, at Unregistered School.
Silver Bells Academy in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County, witnessed confusion on Wednesday, October 30, when candidates were caught taking counterfeit KPSEA exams.
This discovery was triggered by a concerned parent who alerted police to irregularities at the school.
The parent had noticed that KPSEA students at Silver Bells Academy were regularly starting exams later than expected, which raised suspicions.
Moiben Deputy County Commissioner Duncan Okwach revealed that, following this complaint, police conducted a visit to investigate.
During the investigation, it was revealed that neither the school nor its students were registered for the official KPSEA exams.
“We discovered that neither the school nor the students of the schools were registered to sit for the KPSEA exams,” he said.

The administration had been providing pupils with photocopied papers instead of the legitimate exam documents.
Arrests and Ongoing Investigations
Authorities confirmed that 23 students were impacted by the fake exams, and two individuals have been arrested to assist with the investigation.
Another family, Naomi Njore and her husband Sammy Thuo, alleged that Uasin Gishu Primary School neglected to register their child for the KPSEA exams.
Their son, who aspires to become a doctor, was reportedly assured by school officials that arrangements would be made for him to take the test the following year.
School Principal Edwin Kiptis Kipsang declined to provide any statement on the issue, directing journalists to County Director of Education John Thiringi.
