28 Teams Picked to Represent Kenya at FEASSSA 2025: Full List

28 Teams Picked to Represent Kenya at FEASSSA 2025: Full List.

The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) has officially announced the initial list of school teams set to represent Kenya at the 2025 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games. This announcement follows the conclusion of the National Term One Games hosted in Mombasa.

As reported by the KSSSA Media Centre, 28 teams qualified across seven sporting disciplines and will compete at the regional championships to be held in Kenya this August. More schools are expected to join the list after the completion of the Term Two Games.

Rugby 15s – Tactical Powerhouses

Vihiga Boys from the Western region lead the national representatives in rugby 15s, joined by Kisii School (Nyanza), All Saints (Eastern), and Upper Hill (Nairobi). These teams were commended for their physical prowess and strategic execution during the tournament.

Basketball – Technical Brilliance on Display

In boys’ basketball, Laiser Hill (Rift Valley), Dr Aggrey (Coast), Dagoretti High (Nairobi), and Lukenya School (Eastern) earned their spots with performances marked by skill, energy, and teamwork.

For the girls, Butere Girls (Western), Kaya Tiwi (Coast), St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale (Rift Valley), and Olympic Secondary (Nairobi) secured qualification after dominating their respective matches.

Handball – Fierce Competition Across Regions

In the boys’ handball category, Kimilili Boys (Western), Kamito Boys (Rift Valley), Highway Secondary (Nairobi), and Manyatta Boys (Nyanza) will represent Kenya.

The girls’ handball teams qualifying include Moi Girls Kamusinga (Western), St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale (Rift Valley), Dagoretti Mixed (Nairobi), and Kadika Girls (Nyanza). Their strong displays ensured advancement to the regional stage.

Hockey – Strongholds of the Turf

Representing Kenya in boys’ hockey are Musingu Boys (Western), St. Anthony’s Boys Kitale (Rift Valley), St. Charles Lwanga (Coast), and Mpesa Academy (Central).

Among the girls’ teams, Tigoi Girls (Western), Ng’iya Girls (Nyanza), Mwiki Secondary (Nairobi), and St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale will compete. St. Joseph’s Girls’ achievement of qualifying in three different sports highlights their outstanding overall performance.

Performance Recognition

KSSSA acknowledged the teams’ high standards of discipline, resilience, and talent shown throughout the week-long competition in Mombasa. Their commendable efforts secured them places among East Africa’s top school sports squads.
