Seychelles’ education system, a key African institution in sub-Saharan Africa, offers free and compulsory education from ages 6 to 15. Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s education system includes a seven-year cycle of primary school, four to six years of secondary education, and higher education in colleges and universities. Early Childhood Development (ECD) is offered for children aged 3 to 5 years. Secondary education includes a four-year General Certificate of Education, with merit-based progression. Zimbabwean students are accepted into universities outside the country.

Botswana

The Education System in Botswana consists of a 7-3-2 curriculum, with primary school being the primary stage. The system includes primary school, secondary school, and senior secondary education.

The compulsory education duration is 10 years, with the primary school Leaving Examination (PSLE) being the first 7 years. Secondary school, where the pupil-teacher ratio is 24 to 1, takes 2 more years and culminates in the senior secondary examination.

The Botswana Training Authority regulates vocational training standards to promote an integrated system. Tertiary education institutions include the University of Botswana, which has over 17,000 students across various faculties.
