This action contravened the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) regulations. Homa Bay Sub-County Police Commander Emmanuel Kiplagat reported that the school’s Board of Management-employed teachers were involved, and authorities confiscated all related evidence to support future legal proceedings.

Multi-Agency Operations

The multi-agency team, consisting of Ministry of Education and National Police Service officials, has taken over to uphold exam integrity.

As a precaution, the Ministry has replaced all examination officials at Pala Masogo Secondary School to ensure that the 119 candidates sitting for their exams experience no further disruptions.

Two additional suspects were arrested for impersonation offenses. National Examinations Council Chairperson David Njeng’ere confirmed that these arrests occurred in Nairobi and Kilifi counties, with officials remaining vigilant to prevent any malpractice. The multi-agency efforts have played a crucial role in intercepting these cases swiftly.
