TSC Bids Farewell to Seme Sub County Director Joash Ogada Ndege.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) team gathered on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Kabondo, Nyakach Sub County, to join the family of the late Joash Ogada Ndege, TSC Sub County Director for Seme, in his final send-off. The ceremony was attended by thousands of mourners.
The event drew a large representation from the teaching fraternity, including members of the Kenya Primary Schools Headteachers Association (KEPSHA), Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA), Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), and Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET).
Local leaders and clergy members were also present, alongside officials from the Ministry of Education representing Seme Sub County, Kisumu County, and other regions.

Leading the TSC delegation was Kisumu County TSC County Director Dr. Samuel Marigat. He was joined by Mathews Okumu, Director at the TSC Regional Director’s Office for Nyanza, and several Sub County Directors, led by their National Chairman, Ben Orwasa.
A Tribute to the Late Sub County Director
The late Joash Ndege was remembered as a warm, humble, and jovial individual who was passionate about his work.
His dedication enabled him to rise through the ranks of the teaching profession. Beginning as a classroom teacher, he advanced to Deputy Head Teacher, Head Teacher, Curriculum Support Officer (CSO), and finally, Sub County Director for Seme, a role he held until his passing on November 6, 2024.

Dr. Marigat read a speech on behalf of the TSC CEO, who praised Joash Ndege as a committed and reliable officer. The CEO expressed sorrow at the untimely loss of such a valuable member of the TSC family.
