2024 KCSE Shockers: Little-Known Schools Make Stunning Surprise.
Last year’s KCSE results brought surprises, as little-known schools emerged as top performers. Merishaw Academy in Isinya, Kajiado County, took the nation by storm with a mean score of 10.57, surpassing academic giants to top the national rankings.
The school excelled in six subjects, including Christian Religious Education and Physics, solidifying its elite status.
Principal David Kariuki attributed the school’s success to strategic planning and growth, noting that its student population expanded from 96 in 2022 to 800 in 2024.
He expressed pride in their achievement, stating, “We set a target of 8.5 and exceeded it. This is just the beginning.”
