Verification Process and Selection Criteria
he TSC Sub County Director is responsible for verifying the TSC registration status of all applicants and submitting a comprehensive list to the Selection Panel. Applicants are required to appear before the Selection Panel in person on the designated dates.
Original academic and professional certificates must undergo scrutiny to confirm their authenticity. The TSC Sub County Director shall certify photocopies of these documents before forwarding them to the TSC County Director.
Any applicant found presenting forged or falsified academic, professional, or other documents commits an offense, leading to disqualification and deregistration.
Applicants will be assessed based on a standardized score sheet. Once all academic, professional, and relevant documents have been verified, the Sub-County selection panel will compile a Sub-County Merit List.
This list will be submitted to the TSC County Directors, who will consolidate it into a County Merit List for verification at the Headquarters. Special provisions shall be made for applicants with hearing and speech impairments, allowing them to work with a sign language interpreter.

COMPLAINT RESOLUTION PROCESS
Applicants who are dissatisfied with the selection process may submit a written complaint to the TSC County Director and send an email to TSC Headquarters at [email protected] within seven days of the selection exercise.
The TSC County Director must analyze and address all complaints within seven days of receiving them and submit a report detailing the actions taken to the Headquarters.
If an applicant is unsatisfied with the decision of the TSC County Director or if the complaint involves the County Director, they may escalate the issue to the Appeals Committee on staffing functions at TSC Headquarters.
The Appeals Committee will conduct an investigation and provide a resolution within fourteen days.

- PTE/DPTE Upgrade Certificate

- KCPE Certificate (including all resit attempts if applicable)
- Letter of certification of results from KNEC (if applicable)
- Primary and Secondary School Leaving Certificates and other relevant testimonials
- National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card (if applicable)
- Sworn affidavit under the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap 15 (if name discrepancies exist)
- KRA PIN Certificate, Bank Form, and a copy of the Bank Plate/Card (front face) for payroll appointment
- Panel Score Sheet, submitted in both soft copy (Excel format via [email protected]) and hard copy for selected applicants
IMPORTANT NOTES
- The Merit Lists will be accessible to the public upon request, ensuring that the recruitment process remains transparent while adhering to the Data Protection Act, 2019.
- Any inquiries regarding the recruitment process should be directed to the respective TSC County Director.
- Although teacher recruitment has been decentralized as per Section 20 of the TSC Act, the Commission retains the authority to conduct recruitment directly from TSC Headquarters.
TSC Regional Directors must ensure compliance with recruitment guidelines within their respective regions. They will oversee and coordinate the recruitment process, conduct sensitization for County Directors and Selection Panels, and address complaints arising within their jurisdictions.
