JSS Teachers to Celebrate TSC Boss Nancy Macharia in a Unique Way.
The confirmation of Junior Secondary School (JSS) intern teachers to Permanent and Pensionable employment in January marked a significant milestone.
Many educators had been uncertain about their future, suspecting that prolonged internships were a deliberate strategy. This uncertainty led them to form welfare groups advocating for job security. The conclusion of 2024 signified a transformative phase in their profession.
JSS teachers from Busia County have taken the lead in showing appreciation to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Secretariat under Dr. Nancy Macharia’s leadership.
Reliable sources from Education News indicate that the grand event is scheduled for February 28. Several teachers have confirmed that preparations are in their final stages.
Unlike conventional methods of expressing gratitude, teachers from the seven sub-counties have opted for an extraordinary fun-filled celebration at Mundika Primary School in Matayos Sub-county. The primary objective of the event is to honor Dr. Macharia’s relentless efforts in securing their permanent employment.
Planned Activities
According to an exclusive source, the event will feature engaging competitions, including tug-of-war, balloon racing, blindfolding games, sack races, short relays, 100-meter sprints, and bucket filling. Competitors from Teso North, Teso Central, Teso South, Butula, Nambale, Matayos, Samia, and Bunyala sub-counties are expected to participate.
