TSC Mass Transfers, Promotions and Appointments of Senior Officers.
The recent restructuring of regional, county, and sub-county directors was implemented to strengthen leadership, improve staff morale, and fill vacancies left by retiring officers.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) stated that these changes aim to enhance efficiency in management and career advancement.
Key Regional Transfers
Joseph Japhat Kariuki, formerly the Nakuru County Director, has been promoted to serve as the Nyanza Regional Director.
His new appointment follows the transition of Jane Gatakaa Njage, who moved to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission as a representative of the Commission.
Geofrey Matasero Chemos has taken over as Nakuru County Director after his transfer from Uasin Gishu.
Similarly, Francis Saina Keter has been reassigned from Busia to Uasin Gishu County to assume the same role. Meanwhile, Jackson Ong’eto Atuti has replaced Keter in Busia after being moved from Baringo County.
Catherine Nyaguthii Mathenge has transitioned from Dagoreti to Nakuru East Sub-County, while Patrick Mutua has moved from Kinangom in Kwale County to Mvita in Mombasa County.
Additionally, Ahmed Yussuf Ali has been reassigned from Wajir East to Turkana Sub-County, and Mohammed Aden Issack has taken his place after his transfer from Matuga.
Promotions and Further Appointments
The restructuring also led to several promotions. Miriam Jebet Kosgei, previously the Deputy County Director in Trans Nzoia, has been redeployed as Baringo County Director.
Mark Muma Arbelle has taken over as Isiolo County Director following the retirement of Jayne Wambui Mwaniki.
Catherine Kamawira Lenairoshi, formerly Nakuru East Sub-County Director, has been promoted and posted to Kirinyaga as the County Director.
Nandi County Director Regina Opondo has moved to Meru County, replacing Mary Salome Ombisi, who was reassigned to Nandi.
Kibwezi Sub-County Director Getrude Chao has transitioned to Matuga as Director. Meanwhile, Vincent Victor Nyongesa Mamai has been transferred from Lunga Lunga in Kwale County to Saboti in Trans Nzoia County.

Staffing Directorate and Final Reassignments
Maurice Abungu George Ochieng, formerly Kisumu Central Sub-County Director, has been moved to the Staffing Directorate at the headquarters.
Solomon Buyela Wafubwa, who previously served as Turkana Central Sub-County Director, has taken over his role in Kisumu Central.
This reshuffle is part of ongoing reforms aimed at improving efficiency in staff management, redeployment, and career growth.
The Commission highlighted that these changes align with its mission to ensure fairness and equity in teacher placement, reinforcing its commitment to better service delivery.
