Escalating Incidents of Bullying

Bullying incidents continue to be a significant issue in schools, particularly intensifying during examination periods.

Despite multiple complaints and efforts to curb bullying, these incidents persist, with the latest case reported at Anestar Secondary School, also in Nakuru County.

The violence endured by students during this critical academic period has raised serious concerns among parents, educators, and officials.

In another disturbing incident, a mother, Ly Franco, is seeking justice for her 17-year-old son who has been subjected to continuous bullying and threats at his school.

Despite notifying both the school administration and law enforcement, her son faces ongoing intimidation from other students, even as he prepares for his examinations.

According to Franco, her son reported feeling unsafe and disclosed that previously suspended students have returned, continuing their threats against him.

Government Intervention in Exam Security

The Permanent Secretary for Basic Education, Dr. Belio Kipsang, has issued a stern warning, emphasizing that strict action will be taken against those involved in examination malpractice.

He assured that the government would work closely with the criminal justice system to address these issues.
