Bungoma South KNUT Branch By-Election Halted Indefinitely.
The by-election for the Bungoma South branch of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has been suspended until further notice. This decision came after an issue was identified during the voting process.
Missing Teachers in the Register
The election had initially begun smoothly, but over 200 teachers were found to be missing from the voter register.

This prompted Labour Officer Madam Bahati, through Secretary General Collins Henry Oyuu, to halt the proceedings.
Assurance of a Future Election
Secretary General Oyuu assured the teachers of Bungoma South that swift action would be taken to rectify the register.
He confirmed that another election would be organized soon, allowing the teachers to elect their preferred leaders once the register is corrected.
