The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is a state corporation in charge of providing career guidance and selecting students for admission to universities, national polytechnics, technical training institutes, and other accredited higher learning institutions for Government of Kenya-sponsored programs. KUCCPS, among other things, supervises the placement of government-sponsored students in Kenyan universities and colleges, develops and conducts career advice programs, disseminates information about available programs, and collects and stores data on university and college placement. It is the Kenyan government authority in charge of selecting students for admission to higher learning institutions with government funding. The Universities Act of 2012 established the KUCCPS. How to Check KUCCPS Placement Results Applicants can check their placement results through a variety of methods. To view placement results via the Student's Portal, applicants need to log in to students.kuccps.net using their KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password (KCPE Index Number or Birth Certificate Number). Alternatively, applicants can SMS their KCSE index number to 20842, beginning with their KCSE year (example: 202212345678912). They will receive a response indicating the program and institution where they have been placed. (The charges are Ksh25 per SMS.)
