Kareithi highlighted the significant improvement compared to last year’s performance, where the school had 15 A grades and around 60 A-minus grades.

He expressed pride in the results, noting that Murang’a High could potentially have the highest number of A grades in the region.

Nyeri’s Kagumo Boys High School

In Nyeri County, Kagumo Boys High School also showcased remarkable results, achieving 41 A plain grades, 104 A-minus, and 116 B-plus scores. The school continues to maintain its strong academic reputation in the region.

Kirinyaga’s Baricho Boys: A Steady Rise

In neighboring Kirinyaga County, Baricho Boys High School reported 30 A plain grades and over 100 A-minus grades. Principal Bernard Mwangi noted a slight improvement in performance and expressed optimism that the mean score would exceed last year’s 9.274.

He highlighted that last year, the school achieved 25 A grades and 87 A-minus grades. With 475 candidates, most are expected to meet university admission requirements. Mwangi lauded the students’ efforts and expressed hopes for even better results in the coming years.

Njiiris High School

In Murang’a, Njiiris High School has also shown progress with 6 A plain grades and 15 A-minus scores so far. Moses Njoroge, the dean of academics, reported that they had received results for only 30 out of 540 candidates due to server challenges.

Njoroge expressed frustration with the delays caused by server failures and urged the government to ensure smoother access to results. Despite the setbacks, he highlighted that the school had already surpassed last year’s performance of 3 A grades, 45 A-minus, and 67 B-plus scores.

A Promising Future for Central Region Schools

The steady improvement across schools in the Central region underscores their commitment to academic excellence. As results continue to trickle in, these institutions remain optimistic about maintaining their legacy of high performance in national examinations.
