On Tuesday, the Council of Legal Education (CLE) published a list of universities authorized to offer law courses within Kenya. This notice was featured in local newspapers, detailing the universities and specific programs sanctioned by the state.
Breakdown of Approved Programs
The council specified the approved institutions and programs:
- Master of Laws (LLM) Programs: 4 institutions (excluding the University of Nairobi)
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Programs: 18 institutions
- Diploma of Law Programs: 5 institutions
Kenyatta University has a pending application for a license to offer an LLM program.
