As a Literature Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons that foster a love for reading and critical thinking.

You will guide students through the exploration of various literary genres, periods, and styles, helping them develop their analytical and interpretive skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct students on interpreting literature, including both classic and contemporary works.
  • Assign reading materials, including novels, poetry, and plays.
  • Provide background information on authors’ lives and works to enhance understanding.
  • Teach English language structure, including grammar, spelling, and sentence composition.
  • Explore different literary styles with students.
  • Create and utilize instructional resources for classroom use.
  • Foster a positive educational environment that encourages student learning and engagement.
  • Meet student performance goals aligned with course and school-wide expectations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.
  • Develop and adjust lesson plans throughout the academic year.
  • Maintain grade books and manage other administrative responsibilities.
  • Grade assignments and papers and provide feedback to students.
  • Pursue grant opportunities to fund further research and educational initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • TSC certification.
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from a recognized university.
  • 3-5 years of distinctive experience teaching English Language & Literature at a Cambridge Registered School.
  • Certificate in teaching International Curricula is an added advantage.
