Police have arrested four more suspects in connection with the murder of a KCSE candidate at Shiners Boys High School in Nakuru.
This follows the stabbing death of the student over the weekend, which has shocked the school community.
The suspects, including the prime suspect identified as a Sudanese national, are currently in police custody, awaiting arraignment after completing their KCSE exams.
The fatal incident took place on Saturday night following a confrontation among four candidates that escalated into violence.
According to eyewitness accounts, noise from the altercation prompted other students to rush to the dormitory, where they discovered one student had been stabbed in the lower abdomen.

Police investigations indicate that the murder weapon was likely brought to the school, and authorities are now probing whether the knife was concealed on campus or brought by the student.
Suspects in Custody
As of now, three students are detained at Gilgil Police Station, while five others are held at the Baruk Police Post.
The suspects, who were involved in the confrontation, are assisting police with their investigations.
The prime suspect, who had reportedly fled to Nairobi after the incident, was apprehended and returned to the school. Upon his arrival, police found him with several rolls of banknotes, adding complexity to the ongoing investigation.
The suspect identified as “DC” had previously attended Woodley Secondary School in Nairobi but was suspended due to disciplinary issues.
The police have stated that they will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder, including where the knife came from and whether it was brought from home or found at the school.
Investigation and Legal Process
As investigations continue, authorities are expected to seek more time to complete the probe.
Once the suspects have finished their exams, they will be arraigned in court to face charges related to the murder.
