The capitation will help public schools retain learners and support daily operations without interruptions.

Ogamba stated that the government is collaborating with the National Treasury to facilitate timely disbursements, adding that 30 percent of the funds will be released in Term Two, with the remaining 20 percent in Term Three.

Classroom Construction Nears Completion

The Cabinet Secretary also highlighted that 93 percent of the construction work on 16,000 classrooms has been completed to support the seamless transition of Grade 9 learners to Junior Secondary Schools.

Where classrooms remain unfinished, school heads have been directed to construct temporary structures to accommodate learners.

Additionally, school heads are being advised to merge streams to create sufficient space for the new Grade 9 students.
