Grade 5 Girl Allegedly Defiled by Father Dies in Police Vehicle
An investigation is currently underway in Athi River, Machakos County, following the death of an allegedly defiled Grade 5 girl. The event occurred on Sunday evening, and the 14-year-old died while aboard a police vehicle.
According to authorities, the girl’s father, 30, allegedly defiled her at their home in Ndovoini village, Muthwani, Athi River subcounty.
According to the police record, the incident was reported to the Kyumbi police station as a suspected murder or incest case.
Members of the public apprehended a suspect from Ndovoini village on charges of defiling his daughter, according to the station officer.
The duty officer picked up the suspect, the victim (a Grade 5 student at a local public school), and her mother. Unfortunately, the girl died en route in the police van owing to inclement weather and heavy rainfall in the area.

The deceased has been transferred to a mortuary pending an autopsy, while the suspect remains detained at the Kyumbi police station.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations at Kyumbi Police Station are leading the investigation into both incidents.
