In 2017, the school gained widespread recognition after producing the top KCPE candidate in Nyeri County, Kellen Njambi, who achieved 443 marks.

Tragic Fire Incident and Response

The school is currently cooperating with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and other investigative agencies following a fire outbreak in August 2024.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company has issued a report distancing itself from any involvement in the incident.

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Kieni MP Njoroge Wainaina are collaborating to rebuild the damaged dormitory, while other well-wishers, including the Red Cross, are providing additional support.
