How to Apply for KUCCPS Inter-Institutional Transfer

Application Instructions

To apply for an IIT, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Student’s Portal at students.kuccps.net.
  2. Click on the “Transfer Application” tab on the dashboard.
  3. Enter the code for the institution and program to which you wish to transfer.
  4. Select the reason for seeking the transfer.
  5. Make a payment of Kshs. 1,000 as per the provided payment instructions (detailed below).
  6. Submit your transfer application using the eCitizen Payment Reference Code.

You can monitor your application’s progress through the Student’s Portal. Both the receiving and releasing institutions must endorse your application, and this status can be tracked online.

If the receiving institution does not endorse your transfer application, you will be notified via the portal and advised to choose another program within the same or a different institution.

After endorsements, KUCCPS will process the transfer request. Once approved, download and print the transfer letter, and submit a copy to your new institution to receive an admission letter and joining instructions.

IIT Payment Procedure

1. After clicking the Submit button in the online application form, a pop-up will appear with a “Click Here to Pay” link. If you have already paid, enter the Payment Reference Code from eCitizen.

2. Click on the link to be redirected to the eCitizen payment instructions page.

3. Choose your preferred payment method from the available options and proceed as instructed.

4. For M-PESA payments, click the relevant button to view payment details, including the Business Number (222222), Payment Reference Code, and the required amount.

5. Use the M-PESA Menu on your phone to make the payment by following the given instructions. Enter your M-PESA PIN and send.

After completing the payment, enter the eCitizen Payment Reference Code in the provided slot and click “Submit”.

Retain this Ref. Code for any subsequent changes to your application. Do not use the M-PESA transaction code.

Enter your KUCCPS Student’s Portal password to complete the submission.

Once successfully submitted, a flow chart will be displayed on the application page to help you track the status of your application.
