Verified Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers across the nation are in high spirits after successfully completing the Permanent and Pensionable (PnP) forms during the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) document verification exercise, which ensures their permanent employment.
In Teso North sub-county, successful candidates expressed their satisfaction with the flawless process, praising the Sub County Director (SCD) and the verification panel for their exemplary work.
Teachers shared their appreciation, describing the exercise as free, fair, and well-organized under the guidance of the SCD and supportive Curriculum Support Officers.

In the coastal region, an SCD received recognition for extending the verification process to assist a female teacher who had recently delivered at a local hospital, allowing her to complete the necessary paperwork.
Widespread Praise for Sub-County Directors
Other SCDs receiving praise include those in charge of:

- Hadado sub-county, Wajir County
- Shantabag sub-county, Garissa County
- Elwak sub-county, Mandera County

Emotional Reactions in North Rift and Trans Nzoia
In the North Rift region, a male teacher was overwhelmed with emotion upon receiving the employment letter and was given time to express his joy before being guided through the form-filling process.
Similarly, in Trans Nzoia county, a female teacher, accompanied by her clan elder as a witness, expressed delight as she completed the document.
The verification exercise, which began on October 11, 2024, concluded today. On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, SCDs called on shortlisted candidates to report to recruitment venues to fill the employment forms.
Teachers appreciated the Commission’s readiness and the near-seamless process in several sub-counties, acknowledging that it met their expectations.

Despite the success of the verification, there are still areas for improvement. As TSC works to redeem its image, it should focus on eliminating political interference during recruitment processes.
