Dr. Njengere pointed out that the candidates whose results were being released had started their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams back in March 2021.

These candidates were part of the first cohort affected by the COVID-19 disruptions. Despite these challenges, he commended their resilience in completing their KCSE exams.

A total of 965,512 candidates registered for the exam, reflecting a 7.19% increase compared to previous years. The CEO acknowledged the hard work of the center managers who ensured that all candidates registered within the required timelines.
