Reason for Termination
The TSC initiated the termination of JSS teachers’ internship contracts just days after halting their demonstrations.
The protests were related to complaints about poor pay and demands for converting their contracts to Permanent and Pensionable (PnP) terms.
The TSC cited professional misconduct as the primary reason for the terminations.
In letters sent to the dismissed intern teachers, TSC referenced previous show-cause letters, noting that the responses provided by the teachers were deemed unsatisfactory.

Official Statement from TSC
The TSC’s communication highlighted that the responses from the teachers failed to justify their continued engagement as interns. This conclusion was drawn after careful consideration by the commission.
“The Commission has carefully considered your response and found the same to be unsatisfactory,” TSC wrote.
