KNEC: 2025 Exams Registration to Begin Late January and February.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has highlighted the upcoming registration processes for the 2025 candidates, emphasizing the importance of accurate registration.
The registration for KNEC exams will begin in late January and February 2025. Dr. Njengere urged center managers and parents to ensure that candidates’ details, such as their names and subjects, were entered correctly to avoid complications.
At the recent ceremony to announce the results for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), Dr. David Njengere, the CEO of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), addressed the audience, recognizing the efforts of various stakeholders involved in the examination process.
He acknowledged key officials such as the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Education, Principal Secretaries, and representatives from security and other government agencies.
Dr. Njengere also expressed his appreciation for the examiners, center managers, and other personnel whose dedication helped facilitate the successful administration of exams.
The examination process began in January 2024 with various practical assessments, including agriculture, woodwork, building construction, and computer studies.

The theory exams and practicals were successfully conducted from October 22 to November 22, 2024. Dr. Njengere highlighted the scale of the operation, with over 10,000 examination centers across the country and 610 distribution centers serving the candidates.
Additionally, he confirmed that, for the second consecutive year, there were no cases of early exposure of exam papers.
This was attributed to the successful implementation of a system to prevent such occurrences. The KNEC CEO also emphasized the importance of the new timetable structure, which provided candidates with adequate time between exam sessions.
