Verification Process

Centre Managers are tasked with ensuring the prompt issuance of certificates. They must counter-check the following details before handing over the certificates to candidates:

  • Accuracy of Details:
    • Centre name and candidate’s names
    • School code
    • Candidate’s gender
  • Quality of Printing: Certificates must have no smudged or faded print and be in good condition.
  • Embossing of Hologram and Photograph: The passport size photograph embossed on the certificate must match the one submitted during registration.

The number of certificates delivered should match the checklist provided for each examination centre. Any discrepancies should be noted in the Acknowledgement Form and forwarded to KNEC through the SCDEs’ offices.

Queries and Discrepancies

KNEC will not issue certificates to candidates who did not submit passport size photographs by the time of printing.

Any queries regarding the certificates must be submitted online through the Query Management Information System (QMIS) link within thirty days of dispatch.

These queries will attract a fee of Kshs. 5,000.00, payable through the Paybill number generated by QMIS. Hard copy queries will not be accepted.

Call to Action

Dr. David Njengere, the Chief Executive Officer of KNEC, urged all relevant officers and candidates to bring this information to the attention of everyone involved.

Candidates and parents/guardians are requested to collect the certificates from their respective institutions at the earliest opportunity.
