KNEC Dispatches Certificate for 2022 and 2023 Teacher Education exams
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) reported on Saturday, that some certificates for the 2022 and 2023 Teacher Education exams had been dispatched.
In a Saturday statement, KNEC indicated that certificates for teachers who completed DSNE 2022 & 2023, ECDE 2023, and PTE 2023 had been sent to colleges.
KNEC also mentioned that other certificates were still being processed and would be available soon.

- PTE 2023
Certificates still being processed include UDPTE and UDECTE, expected to be ready next week. KNEC expressed regret for any delays and inconveniences caused, offering sincere apologies.
“Some 2022 and 2023 Teacher Education exam certificates are finally out. The certificates dispatched to colleges today are DTE 2022 & 2023, DSNE 2022 & 2023, ECDE 2023 and PTE 2023.”
Earlier, KNEC had confirmed the release of the March 2024 Business & Technical examination results on June 17, 2024.
They issued a directive for teachers in training to submit any queries regarding the results through the Query Management Information System (QMIS) by July 17, 2024. Queries received after this date would incur a charge of Ksh5,000.
This announcement follows recent guidelines from KNEC on the release of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificates for 2022 candidates. Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu released the 2022 KCSE results on January 20, 2023, and the 2023 results on January 8, 2024.

Machogu explained that a new grading system was used, where Mathematics, one language, and five other top-performing subjects were considered to calculate the final mean grade. This new system aimed to help candidates qualify for their desired university courses.
Additionally, the Parliamentary Committee on Education prepared a report on examination malpractice, confirming irregularities in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE).
