KNEC Invites Applications for KJSEA Examiner Training at Kes. 10,500 – Apply Online.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has scheduled the training of examiners for the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) in March and April 2025.

This training will be conducted in two phases: an online session followed by a residential session at designated venues. Shortlisted candidates will receive instructions on accessing online training materials.

The residential training will be strictly conducted at specified locations, which will be communicated later to the successful applicants.

The training fee is set at Kenya Shillings Ten Thousand Five Hundred (Kes. 10,500). Only shortlisted applicants will be required to make the payment. They will be notified via text message (SMS) and the application portal on the payment process.

Eligibility Criteria for Examiners

To qualify for the training, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a practicing teacher/tutor in the relevant subject at the required level or higher.
  2. Be registered and/or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or Public Service Commission.
  3. Hold a Diploma in Education or higher qualification.
  4. Have at least three (3) years of teaching experience.
  5. Not be under interdiction or any other disciplinary action by TSC or their employer.
  6. Be recommended by their head of institution.
  7. Be 50 years of age or below.
  8. Tutors from Teachers Training Colleges and TVET institutions are encouraged to apply for Home Science training.

Application Process

Interested applicants must follow these steps to apply:

  1. Access the KNEC examiners portal through the link: https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke.
  2. Those with CP2 accounts should log in using their existing usernames and passwords.
  3. Applicants who have forgotten their CP2 passwords should click on the reset password button, enter their mobile number in the format (2547********), and submit the request to receive a new password.
  4. Applicants without CP2 accounts should create a new account by following the provided instructions to acquire login credentials.
  5. Once logged in, applicants should complete their personal profiles and save the information.
  6. On the dashboard, they should click on “Apply for Training” and select their preferred subjects from the available vacancies.

Shortlisting will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, and only those who meet the qualifications and submit the necessary documents will be considered.
