KNEC Invites Teachers to Apply for KCSE Examiner Training at Sh10,500
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has scheduled the training for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examiners from August 18 to August 24, 2024.
The training fee of Sh10,500 will be payable by the shortlisted applicants. They will receive notification via SMS and the portal on the payment procedure.

Eligibility Criteria
KNEC has outlined specific requirements for examiners:
- Practicing teacher in the relevant subject areas at the examination level.
- Registered and/or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Holding a diploma in education or higher qualification.
- Minimum teaching experience of three years.
- No interdiction or disciplinary action by the TSC.
- Recommendation from the head of their institution.
- 50 years of age or below.
Training Details
The training slots are limited, and only those who meet all qualifications and submit the required documents will be shortlisted. The venue for training will be communicated later, and the training will be strictly residential.
KNEC mentioned that teachers already trained as KCSE examiners and listed in the KNEC database do not need to apply.
Application Procedure
Applicants are required to use the KNEC examiners’ portal via the link https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke. Those with CP2 accounts should log in with their usernames and passwords. If they have forgotten their passwords, they should reset them using their mobile numbers in the format (2547*****).

For those without CP2 accounts, they need to create an account and follow the instructions to get login credentials. After successful login, applicants should complete their personal profile, save it, and then apply for training by selecting from the available vacancies on the dashboard.
