KNEC Opens CBA Portal for Grade 3 and Grade 6 Learners Registration.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially opened the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal for the registration of learners in Grade 3. Additionally, the portal is now accessible for the registration of Grade 6 learners who have not yet obtained assessment numbers.
Schools have been instructed to log into the portal and ensure their learners are registered accordingly.
KNEC noted that any learner intending to register for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) must first be registered in the Grade 6 portal to receive an assessment number.
“For a learner to be registered for KPSEA, they MUST be registered in the Grade 6 portal first and obtain an assessment number.” Without this number, registration for KPSEA will not be possible.
Schools are urged to take immediate action by visiting the official KNEC website at www.knec.ac.ke to complete the registration process.

They must use their Assessment Centre log-in credentials, which include a username and password, to register the learners through the KPSEA Portal. This system ensures a secure and structured approach to managing student registrations efficiently.
For transparency and accuracy, the system incorporates an audit trail feature that monitors user actions. This measure is in place to uphold accountability and maintain data integrity, ensuring that all registration activities are traceable and verifiable.
