The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that registration for the 2025 Teacher Education Examinations and Assessments will commence on November 7, 2024.
The registration process will run until December 30, 2024, and will take place via the CBATE portal.

The upcoming registration period covers several key exams and assessments aimed at various teaching certifications and diploma programs. This includes:
- Upgrade Diplomas (Repeaters Only):
- Upgrade Diploma in Primary Education (UDPTE)
- Upgrade Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (UDECTE)
- Year 2 Programs:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE)
- Diploma in Primary Education (DPTE)
- Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education (DSTE)
- Adult and Special Needs Programs:
- Teacher Certificate for Adult Education (TCAE)
- Diploma in Special Needs Education (DSNE)
- Additional Repeaters’ Programs:
- Diploma and Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE)
- Diploma in Teacher Education (DTE)
- Primary Teacher Education (PTE)
Important Information for Training Colleges and Education Officers
Principals of Teacher Training Colleges, as well as Sub-County Adult and Continuing Education Officers responsible for submitting candidates, are urged to prepare accordingly.
