KUCCPS Opens Doors for C Students to Pursue Paralegal Studies at Kenya School of Law: Apply.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has partnered with the Kenya School of Law (KSL) to strengthen paralegal studies.
This collaboration introduces a Diploma in Law program accessible to Form Four graduates via the KUCCPS portal. To qualify, applicants must have attained a C (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and a C+ (plus) in both Kiswahili and English.
In a statement issued on February 10, KUCCPS emphasized that this initiative aims to broaden access to paralegal education for students who sat for KCSE from 2000 to 2024. The placement service affirmed that individuals interested in enrolling at KSL for paralegal studies can now apply online through the KUCCPS portal.
This marks the first time that KSL has collaborated with KUCCPS to facilitate applications for the Diploma in Law program under the Paralegal Training Programme (PTP). Form Four graduates from the specified years are eligible to apply during the current application period.
Application and Course Structure
KUCCPS urged interested applicants to apply for the May intake using the student portal (https://students.kuccps.net/). The application window, which opened on January 24, will close on February 14. The program spans two academic years, divided into three terms of 12 weeks each. Additionally, students must complete a three-month attachment in their second year.
First-year tuition fees amount to Kshs. 131,000, payable in three termly instalments, while second-year fees total Kshs. 136,000, also payable in instalments.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Henry Mutai, Director General and CEO of KSL, highlighted the importance of this partnership in bridging gaps among legal professionals in the Bar, corporate world, and government institutions.
He acknowledged that the Diploma in Law program is designed to equip paralegals with broad-based legal knowledge, skills, and competencies. He further noted that KSL recognizes the value of collaborating with reputable institutions like KUCCPS to expand access to its programs.
Through this partnership, KUCCPS and KSL aim to enhance the institution’s reach and impact, contributing to the national goal of providing quality legal education to all Kenyans.
