KUCCPS Opens Support Centres for University and TVET Applications.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has designated support centres across the country to aid students experiencing difficulties in applying for university and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, April 1, KUCCPS informed students that support centres had been established in all 47 counties to offer guidance on course selection and application procedures.

A variety of institutions have been designated as support centres, including Alupe University (Busia), Baringo National Polytechnic (Baringo), Maseno University (Kisumu), Technical University of Mombasa (Mombasa), and Karen Institute for the Deaf (Nairobi).

Additional institutions such as Rongo University (Migori), Egerton University (Nakuru), Dedan Kimathi University (Nyeri), Kabianga University (Kericho), and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (Siaya) were also named.

Other support centres include Kaimosi Friends University (Vihiga), Kibabi University (Bungoma), Kisii University (Kisii), Lamu East Technical and Vocational College (Lamu), University of Eldoret (Uasin Gishu), Tom Mboya University (Homa Bay), and Laikipia University (Laikipia).

KUCCPS specified that the support centres would cater to all 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates, along with other Form Four graduates seeking placement in universities, TVET, or Teacher Training Colleges (TTC). Students requiring assistance were encouraged to visit the designated institutions between April 2 and April 13, 2025, for guidance on their applications.

“Following the opening of applications for Degree, TVET, and TTC programmes for the 2024 KCSE cohort and other Form Four leavers, KUCCPS has set up support centres in all the 47 counties,” KUCCPS noted.

Alternative Support Channels

For those still facing challenges, KUCCPS advised visiting its headquarters in Nairobi or any of the 58 Huduma Centres spread across the country. Furthermore, applicants encountering persistent issues were instructed to contact KUCCPS via email at [email protected] or reach out through customer care lines: 0205137400 or 0723954927.

This announcement follows KUCCPS’s recent move to open its application portal for students seeking university and TVET placements. The portal was made accessible on Friday, March 28, with KUCCPS stating that the application window would remain open for three weeks, concluding on April 21, 2025.
