The remarkable historic event was graced and spearheaded by Dr. Eric Opingo, who was the Chief guest at the parade ground under the shade of magnanimous Musingu tree.
In 2024 KCSE, the school attained the mean score of 7.15 (mean grade of C+); a remarkable improvement from 6.5806 in 2023. They registered 1 A, 9 A-, 34 B+, 45 B, 78 B-, 85 C+, 85 C, 45 C-, 17 D+ and 6D. This has motivated them to go for even higher heights of success. The 2024 KCSE results is a true product of students honest work since cheating in the school is considered a taboo.
Last year’s class was exceptional in terms of discipline and self-drive and their performance in the last year’s KCSE exams was a forward push for even better success this year. Chief Principal Lukuya remarked.
To the Phoenix Squard of 2025, this is your year; work hard and be humble. He urged them to position themselves for the success. He hopes that they will emerge top nationally in this year’s KCSE exams. Added Chief Principal Lukuya.
The 2025 candidates class unveiled the target of 8.20+ with 100% transition to university. Cheers and celebration engulfed the atmosphere at the parade ground as the banner bearing 2025 target was unveiled. The slogan, “We work; We Sacrifice for 8.2” went musically viral among all the attendees and danced to the tune.
The class went for their identity as Phoenix Squard in 2025. Teachers together with other stakeholders in the school regards the class as one of the best and promising class.
Dr. Opingo urged them that Success is a state of the mind.”You must set your mind for success. You have to think in the direction of success to succeed. With our minds we rise, with our minds we fall, and with our minds we become slaves, even when we should be rulers,” Dr. Opingo challenged Staffs, candidates and students.
He says that if you want to improve the way you live, first improve the way you think.
He opines that a person is a product of his or her thoughts; you will pass, fail or remain the same depending on whether that is what is in your mind.
Dr. Opingo urged them to have a phoenix attitude and great aspirations.
“Always think of big things and keep the right company that steers you to the direction of success you are targeting this year and beyond,” he challenged them.
According to him, if you master your mind, then you are able to conquer everything. He also added that training minds to see success in every situation is the best approach to use in order to achieve success.
The winning team
“An eagle flies with its own kind or alone,” he enlightened the young minds.
He reminded the students that in the journey to success, they should believe in their dreams and in people who share the same dreams, just like the eagle does by keeping the company of its own kind or flying alone.
“We have been given opportunities, but it’s what we do with them that matters,” Dr. Opingo.
Success and thinking about success are what brings that conquering mentality. Everyone at Musingu School is about positivity, hard work and thinking and speaking success.
It is no secret that the last year’s results have energized them and placed them in a league of champions where they have to keep working to remain top.
Indeed, 2024 year is mostly defined success in Musingu School not only in matters of academic but in the field as well. One of the coaches – Mr. Mwinamo Moses – aka The Bully Bull was awarded the Head of States Commendation (HSC) by the head of state during 2024 Mashujaa day celebrations in Kwale County.
