Ministry of Education Announces 217 Scholarships for Kenyans to Study in China and Hungary.

The Ministry of Education has unveiled opportunities for Kenyans to pursue higher education abroad, offering a total of 217 scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.

These scholarships, provided by the governments of China and Hungary, target undergraduate, Masters, One-Tier Masters (OTM), and PhD levels of study.

The Ministry, through a notice published in MyGov on Tuesday, November 19, disclosed that the Chinese Government is offering 17 scholarships to Kenyan students.

These scholarships are available for undergraduate, Masters, and PhD programs in China.

Applicants are advised to visit the Ministry’s website and China’s higher education portal for detailed information on eligibility and application procedures.

The Ministry emphasized that completed application forms, both standard and online, must be submitted by Friday, December 6, 2024, at 5:00 PM.

Hungarian Scholarships: Access and Deadlines

Hungary is providing 200 scholarships under the Stipendium Hungaricum program, a prestigious initiative offering a variety of courses to international students with strong academic records.

The Kenyan Government’s partnership with Hungary has made these scholarships accessible to eligible Kenyans.

The Ministry announced that details regarding study programs and host institutions would be available on the scholarship system’s website starting November 15, 2024.

Applicants are urged to consult the Ministry’s website for comprehensive guidance. The deadline for submission of standard and online application forms is Friday, January 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
