Ministry of Education Announces Mauritius-Africa Scholarship Scheme 2025: Apply.

The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Government of Mauritius, has announced the Mauritius-Africa Scholarship Scheme for 2025, providing fifteen scholarship opportunities for Kenyan students.

This initiative is aimed at students pursuing Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD programs in Mauritius.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees, provide a contribution towards living expenses, and offer return airfare for scholars from Kenya at the start of their studies and back upon completion.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates for the scholarship must meet the following requirements:

  • Undergraduate Applicants:
    • Hold a minimum KCSE Mean Grade of B (Plain)
    • Be aged 25 years or younger
    • Have an original KCSE Certificate
    • Strong academic performance in subjects relevant to their chosen field of study
    • Completion of secondary education within the last three years

  • Postgraduate Applicants:
    • Master’s candidates must possess at least an Upper Second-class Bachelor’s degree
    • PhD applicants must have a Master’s degree
    • Be 35 years or younger for Master’s candidates and 40 years or younger for PhD applicants

Application Process

Candidates interested in applying should carefully review the guidelines available on the websites:

Applications are to be submitted online and then printed for submission. The Standard Application Form can be collected at the Ministry of Education’s Directorate of Higher Education, Telposta Towers, 27th Floor, Room 2702, or downloaded from the Ministry’s website: www.education.go.ke.

The completed application form, along with certified copies of required documents such as ID, academic/professional certificates, transcripts, and birth certificates, should be sent to:
