MoE Transfers Principals, Promotes Deputies in Major TVET Leadership Shake-up.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has implemented several changes affecting the leadership of Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
These adjustments have largely been driven by the retirement of some principals or the need to enhance service delivery.
At Keroka Technical Training Institute (TTI), Dennis Obobe has taken over from Harron Maosa, who recently retired. Prior to this, Obobe served as the Principal of Diraja TVC in Kisii County.
His previous position at Diraja TVC has been filled by Makori Getemi, who was formerly the head of West Mugirango TVC in Nyamira County.
Makori’s vacated role at West Mugirango TVC has been filled by Maronga, who was previously the Deputy Principal at Kiamwanza TVC. Maronga has been promoted to Principal at West Mugirango TVC.

At Bungoma National Polytechnic, Dr. Geoffrey Murunga has assumed leadership, taking over from Dr. Rosebella Chukwu.
This change follows recent student strikes at the institution, which may have influenced the decision to replace Dr. Chukwu. Her future status was uncertain at the time of reporting.
Dr. Murunga’s former position at Kisiwa TVC has been filled by Emmanuel Wamalwa, the previous Principal of Bunyala TVC.
Additional Reassignments
Wamalwa has been succeeded at Bunyala TVC by Juma Wasilwa, who was previously the Deputy Principal for administration at Bumbe TTI in Busia County.
At Siwa TVC in Uasin Gishu County, Hellen Chepkwony has taken over as Principal, replacing Joseph Mibey, who recently retired.
In Kericho County, Harrison Okello has been appointed as the new Principal of Kipsinende TVC. Okello was previously the Deputy Principal at Nyando TVC.
His predecessor at Kipsinende TVC, Wilson Kimigul, has been reassigned as a lecturer at Kisumu National Polytechnic.
Leadership Changes in Nakuru County
In Nakuru County, changes include the transfer of Oreti Otara, Principal of Heroes TVC, to Kendege TVC in Migori County. Otara’s position at Heroes TVC will be filled by Emily Serony, the former Principal of Total TVC.
