Kilgoris Member of Parliament Julius Sunkuli has rolled out transformative development initiatives under the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF). These projects aim to enhance educational infrastructure and uplift local communities within his constituency.

The NG-CDF fund is revolutionizing Trans Mara’s educational sector, replacing outdated iron-sheet and mud classrooms with modern permanent structures. This transformation is a significant milestone in improving the region’s learning environment.

During his development tour in Keyian Ward, Trans Mara West, Sunkuli underscored the critical role of the NG-CDF in fostering educational progress. Among the notable projects commissioned were two newly built classrooms at Enchurai Primary School and a complete renovation of Kiikat Primary School.

Sunkuli emphasized that the approach includes both new constructions and revamping older classrooms, ensuring holistic development. He highlighted that public participation played a vital role in determining project priorities.

Ongoing Commitment to Development

Sunkuli expressed his commitment to ensuring the success of ongoing projects while initiating new ones. He stated that the progress so far is just the beginning and pledged to continue benefiting the communities through further development.

These projects, part of the 2023/2024 financial year’s development agenda, are already creating a positive impact by providing students with a more conducive learning environment.

John Tawuo, the PTA Chairman at Enchurai Primary School, expressed profound gratitude for the newly constructed classrooms and renovations, acknowledging the NG-CDF’s pivotal role in transforming the school.

A local resident, Rose Munka, reflected on the previous poor conditions of the schools, describing the shift to modern classrooms as a dream come true. She shared that the new infrastructure offers a permanent and better learning environment for the children.
