Nyanza Schools Shine in 2024 KCSE Exams.

Celebrations erupted across various parts of the Nyanza region as schools celebrated exceptional performances in the 2024 KCSE exams.

Among the standout institutions was Kisumu Boys High School, which showcased impressive results.

Enock Odhiambo, a top-performing student, shared his immense joy and gratitude for his achievements.

He achieved an A plain, expressing that he did not anticipate such remarkable success but credited God for guiding him through a challenging journey. Determined to pursue Medicine and become a doctor, Enock’s accomplishment was a source of pride for the school.

The Chief Principal, Muma Austine, reflected on the school’s stellar performance, stating that the top student scored an A plain with 84 points.

This achievement underscored the dedication of both students and teachers. Out of 550 candidates, the school anticipates at least 80% will qualify for university entry, and they are optimistic about achieving their target mean grade of 9.0.

Muma highlighted the importance of peace and teacher efforts in overcoming challenges, while also expressing gratitude to parents for their unwavering support.

Milka Mbilivili, the mother of top performer Henrick Enock, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the school’s contribution to her son’s success. She attributed his achievement to his humility and respectful demeanor, qualities she believed played a significant role in his journey.

Maseno School Achieves Outstanding Results

At Maseno School, the results were equally impressive. Patrick Mboya, the Dean of Studies, announced that the school had so far recorded 23 students with an A plain, including three scoring 84 points and four securing 83 points.

With a total of 680 candidates, Maseno School aims to achieve at least 80 A grades. Notable performers included Vincent Kipkemboi, Ngetich Mark Kiprotich, and Ian Muteti, each earning 84 points.

While network issues caused delays in downloading all results, Mboya expressed optimism that more A grades would emerge as the process continued. The school remains hopeful that a significant number of students will qualify for university entry.

Ng’iya High School’s Remarkable Progress

Meanwhile, Ng’iya High School also celebrated notable achievements under the leadership of Senior Principal Hellen Juma.

She reported one A plain, 22 A-, and numerous B grades among their results so far. Principal Juma acknowledged the support from parents and the board, attributing the success to the dedication of their students.

One of the school’s top performers, Atieno, expressed her delight in achieving an A plain.

She admitted that while she expected to perform well, the level of success exceeded her expectations.

Principal Juma emphasized that the results reflected the hard work of both students and teachers, expressing optimism about even greater accomplishments in the future.

As schools in the Nyanza region continue to receive their results, the excitement and optimism remain high.

The achievements so far highlight the unwavering efforts of students, teachers, and parents, with many hopeful for even better outcomes as more results are revealed.
