Parents Storm School, Chase Away Headteacher Over Defilement.
The headteacher of Nyakianga Primary School was forced to flee the premises after enraged parents stormed the institution on Saturday in response to reports of defilement within the school.
Parents informed the media that despite multiple students coming forward with complaints about a Grade Seven student defiling and sodomising them, the headteacher had continuously ignored the issue.
Police had to intervene as the furious crowd sought retribution against both the boy and the school head, ultimately removing them from the scene to ensure their safety.
Parents claimed that their children had been subjected to repeated harassment by the accused student, who allegedly demanded money, oil, and sugar from them and even threatened them with a knife he kept on his desk.
They emphasized their lack of confidence in the institution, insisting that the headteacher should never be allowed to return.
One parent further accused the headteacher of setting a poor example, suggesting that the boy’s actions were a reflection of his conduct.
The parent asserted that both the headteacher and his wife should be permanently barred from the school, as their inappropriate behavior had influenced the students, leading to the incidents.
Victims Speak Out
According to the victims, the accused student would lure them into empty classrooms while others were occupied and, armed with a knife, assault them.
After committing the acts, he would reportedly threaten them with violence if they revealed the truth and also took explicit photographs of his victims.
Despite their repeated attempts to report the matter, the victims claimed that the school head took no action, prompting parents to step in and address the issue themselves.
Local police and education officials attempted to convince parents to allow school activities to resume on Monday but were met with resistance.
Mathioya Education Officer Gabriel Kinoru acknowledged their concerns and promised to report the situation to his superiors, urging them to maintain peace and allow students to return to class.
Similarly, Police Commandant Moses Emajong warned that keeping children out of school would ultimately harm their education, reinforcing the need for calm.

The accused student was eventually taken into custody and is currently being held at Nyakianga Police Station pending his arraignment at Kangema Law Courts on Monday.
Police recovered both the knife and the phone used to capture images of the victims, solidifying the case against him.
