Police Officers Banned from Schools During KPSEA Exams – Education PS Kipsang
In a significant milestone for education in Kenya, 1.3 million Grade Six learners will sit for Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exam, scheduled from Monday to Wednesday.
This examination marks a crucial step for students transitioning to junior secondary schools.
The Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Dr. Belio Kipsang, announced that police officers will not be permitted in schools during the Grade Six assessments starting Monday.
While police will be responsible for the collection and delivery of examination papers, their presence at examination centers is prohibited.

Dr. Kipsang made this announcement during an inspection at Kimalel Primary School in Capsbet, Wasingishu County.
He emphasized that the government has established comprehensive logistical and security measures to ensure the safety and integrity of the national examinations.
An additional 965,000 students preparing for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Dr. Kipsang expressed confidence in the preparation of the candidates. He noted that teachers and parents have provided a conducive environment for learning, ensuring that students are well-equipped to demonstrate their knowledge during the assessments.

Dr. Kipsang assured stakeholders that all necessary measures have been taken to guarantee a smooth examination process, aiming to reflect the students’ learning experiences accurately.
