Salary and allowances for TSC Deputy Principals and Headteachers (Job Grade C5, T-10)

The TSC has issued a full update to the salary points for Deputy Principals IV, Senior Master III, Senior Lecturer III, Headteacher, Senior Master of Special Needs Education (SNE), and Headteacher/Deputy Principal I.

Deputy Principals IV and Headteachers of Job Grade C5 T-10 are responsible for important administrative and management duties inside schools, which contribute to the overall development and success of the education sector.

TSC Allowance for Deputy Principals and Head Teachers (C5 T-10)

In addition to the base salary, Deputy Principals and Headteachers are eligible for a variety of allowances that increase their overall compensation. These allowances include, but are not limited to:

  • Hardship Allowance: 17,100 KES.
  • Commuter Allowance: 8,000 KES.
  • Annual Leave Allowance: 6,000 KES.
  • Disability Guide Allowance: 20,000 KES.

  • Hardship Allowance: Additional payments between Ksh. 6,600 and Ksh. 38,100 per month for teachers working in hardship-designated areas.
