Sironga Girls School: Student Dies After Allegedly Jumping From 2nd Floor.

A 17-year-old Form 4 student at Sironga Girls National School in Nyamira County, identified as Mitchell Chepto, has been confirmed dead after allegedly jumping from the second floor of the school building.

The incident occurred at around 5 a.m. on Saturday as students were waking up to prepare for Sabbath.

According to the school’s principal, Jane Nyanumba, some students who were hanging clothes witnessed Mitchell falling from the second floor.

She was immediately rushed to Nyamira County Referral Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival due to severe head injuries, particularly at the back of her head.

Investigation Launched

Security agencies have initiated an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

The principal mentioned that Mitchell was known to be a quiet and introverted student.

Authorities have reviewed her books but found no suicide note. Despite this, security officers are continuing their investigation to uncover more details and clarify the situation.
