Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Reshuffles County Directors in Latest Round of Transfers.

This week, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) carried out a reshuffle of several County Directors, as confirmed by Teachersupdates.news.

Many of the affected field officers acknowledged receiving their deployment letters and were preparing to report to their new stations. However, some were caught off guard by the changes.

Key Transfers and Promotions

The movements also involved several County Deputy Directors and their Sub-County counterparts.

Among those affected was Murang’a County Director (CD) Fredrick Ng’ang’a, who was promoted to Regional Director (RD) for the Coast region.

He replaces the long-serving Victoria Muoka, who retired. Meanwhile, Margaret Kinyanjui, previously in charge of Kakamega County, has been assigned to Murang’a, taking over from Ng’ang’a.

Additionally, Wilson Koros, formerly the Bungoma County boss, is now the Kakamega County Director, replacing Kinyanjui.

Koros will be replaced in Bungoma by Evans Esese, a TSC headquarters staff member who was promoted after a series of interviews for vacant County Director positions.

Other Transfers Across the Regions

Several other field officers have also been reassigned:

• Dr. Esther Musani, previously the Homa Bay Director, has been transferred to West Pokot, where she will replace Francis Lotam, who recently retired.
• Milton Oyugi, formerly in charge of Kericho, will take over Musani’s role in Homa Bay. In turn, Joseph Atwoto from Samburu will replace Oyugi in Kericho.
• Kwale County Director Dr. Peter Muasya has been moved to Samburu to take over from Atwoto, while Dr. Esther Njiru from Taita Taveta will replace Dr. Muasya in Kwale.

In Taita Taveta, David Gutu, formerly the Tana River County boss, will take over. However, it remains unclear who will replace Gutu in Tana River.

Deputy Director and Sub-County Director Movements

The reshuffle also extended to Deputy Directors. David Mogaka, who was serving in Elgeyo/Marakwet, swapped places with his Kericho counterpart, Dr. Aleke.

Everlyne Chemjor, the Sub-County Director (SCD) of Tongaren in Bungoma, was reassigned to Nandi as the new Deputy Director, replacing Wilfred Mosigisi.

Mosigisi has moved to Bomet, filling a position left vacant by Daniel Mochama’s mid-year retirement.

Further changes include John Paul Wepoke, the Busia Deputy Director, being transferred to his native West Pokot, replacing Joseph Musyoka, who now heads to Tharaka Nithi. Ndombi Shivachi, formerly the Bumula SCD, was promoted to Busia as the new Deputy Director, succeeding Wepoke.

Samwel Wasonga, previously the Taita Sub-County Director, will now serve in Bumula, filling Shivachi’s former role.

These changes, effective immediately, signal a broader reorganization within the TSC, focusing on efficient service delivery across counties.
