Sirengo emphasized that the scholarship program aims to foster students’ athletic talents while promoting sports as a viable career option.

The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to balancing academic excellence with talent development.

Sirengo stated that the university recognizes the importance of nurturing young people’s passion for sports alongside their academic pursuits. He personally attended the KSSA games to identify athletes who would benefit from the program.

Sports and Social Impact

In addition to talent development, Sirengo highlighted the university’s efforts to engage students in sports as a way to combat drug and substance abuse.

He noted that students involved in sports are being positioned as ambassadors in the fight against these social challenges.
