TSC Announces Senior Principal and Senior Lecturer TTC Vacancies: Apply

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has re-advertised vacancies for Senior Principal and Senior Lecturer positions in Teacher Training Colleges (TTC) as part of its efforts to enhance career progression in the education sector.

The Commission, established under Article 237 (1) of the Constitution, is responsible for the recruitment and management of teachers across Kenya.

Qualified candidates are invited to apply online through the TSC portal at www.teachersonline.go.ke before the deadline on April 21, 2025, at midnight. Manual applications will not be accepted.

VACANT POSITIONS

Senior Principal (TTC) – T-Scale 14 (1 Position)

The Commission is seeking applicants for the role of Senior Principal, a key leadership position in TTCs.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have served as a Principal or Deputy Principal I in T-Scale 13 for at least six months.
• Must have achieved a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process.
• Should demonstrate strong supervisory, mentorship, and professional guidance skills.
• Must meet any other criteria set by the Commission.

Senior Lecturer IV (TTC) – T-Scale 9 (35 Positions)

The TSC is also looking to fill 35 vacancies for Senior Lecturer IV positions.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have served as Lecturer I in T-Scale 8 or an equivalent role for at least three years.
• Must have achieved a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process.
• Should demonstrate competence in supervising, mentoring, and supporting fellow educators.
• Must fulfill any additional requirements set by the Commission.
