TSC Begins Document Verification for Teacher Replacements.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has initiated the process of inviting teachers who applied for replacement positions to attend a document verification exercise.

The applicants had experienced delays in receiving their invitation messages due to the ongoing promotion interviews for both primary and post-primary school teachers, which had engaged TSC officials.

TSC’s Ganze Sub-County Director’s office sent out messages to selected candidates, instructing them to report for the verification process.

One of the messages sent to a teacher directed them to appear at Ganze Primary School on Monday, 17th February 2025, at 8:30 AM, carrying original and copies of their identification card, TSC registration certificate, academic credentials from KCPE to degree level, school leaving certificates, official transcripts, and the graduation page listing their name.

The message also emphasized the need for an affidavit in cases where names differed across documents and asked the recipient to confirm receipt of the SMS.

The replacement exercise, conducted on permanent and pensionable terms, aims to fill 8,707 vacancies left by teachers who exited the Commission through natural attrition.

The Commission had advertised a total of 5,862 positions for primary schools, 21 positions for junior secondary schools, and 2,824 positions for secondary schools.

The deployment of successful candidates to their respective schools is expected to commence at the end of this month and will continue until May 2025.

Compilation of Merit Lists and Public Access

Upon completion of the verification exercise, the respective TSC Sub-County Director will compile a Merit List of all candidates who successfully presented the required documents.

The Commission has stated that these Merit Lists will be accessible to the public upon request, ensuring transparency without compromising the recruitment process.

The information will be shared in strict adherence to the Data Protection Act, 2019.

Additional Marks Awarded in Recruitment

In this recruitment cycle, TSC has granted an additional 30 marks to teachers currently employed under internship terms. Furthermore, holders of PTE certificates who upgraded to UDPTE have been awarded an extra 5 marks, acknowledging their advanced qualifications.
