TSC Junior Secondary Teacher Intern Application Deadline on Monday: How to Apply.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) urges all qualified and interested candidates to submit their applications for the 20,000 internship positions in Junior Secondary Schools without delay.

With today being Saturday, November 2, 2024, applicants have only until Monday, November 4, 2024, at midnight to complete the process.

Details of the Internship Opportunity

These internships support the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) rollout in both regular and Special Needs Education (SNE) schools.

The program is designed to give unemployed registered teachers the chance to gain practical experience through mentorship and coaching.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply, candidates must:

  • Be Kenyan citizens.
  • Hold a Diploma in Education or higher, with a minimum KCSE grade of C+ (plus) overall and C+ (plus) in two teaching subjects.
  • Be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.

Application Instructions

  • Applications must be submitted online only via the TSC website (www.tsc.go.ke) or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.
  • Manual submissions will not be accepted.
  • Applicants must not have been previously employed on permanent and pensionable terms by TSC.

Documents Needed for Verification

Applicants should be prepared to present:

  1. Teacher Registration Certificate or a TSC portal printout.
  2. National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) card, if applicable.
  3. National ID or Passport.
  4. Two passport-size photographs.
  5. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN.

Internship Duration and Benefits

  • Length of Internship: 12 months.
  • Monthly Stipend: Interns will earn Kshs. 20,000, subject to statutory deductions.
  • Completion Certificate: Awarded to interns who successfully complete the program.
