TSC Online Portal Crash Frustrates Thousands of Teachers Applying for 46,000 Posts.

Thousands of teachers looking to apply for advertised permanent positions with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) were left frustrated after the commission’s online application portal crashed.

In a tweet, the TSC announced that it was hiring and directed potential candidates to apply using a link https://hrmis.tsc.go.ke/app/login.

However, attempts to access the application portal have been met with an “Error 500 Internal Server Error,” preventing teachers from submitting their applications.

The breakdown of the system has sparked widespread dissatisfaction, with many applicants expressing frustration over social media.

Teachers, who had hoped to apply for one of the 46,000 advertised positions, have complained about the inconvenience caused by the malfunction, especially given the limited time before the October 7 deadline.

Many teachers have taken to social media to voice their concerns.

One teacher wrote, “I’ve been trying to apply for hours, but the website keeps crashing. It’s like they don’t want us to apply!”

Another applicant noted, “This is beyond frustrating. We were all ready to apply, and now the portal is down. We need more time if this continues!”

The application process, which is exclusively online, has become a critical pathway for the 46,000 intern teachers hoping to secure permanent and pensionable positions.

With such high stakes, the website’s failure has heightened anxieties among teachers already facing stiff competition for the available positions.

Calls for an extension of the application deadline have already begun, with applicants urging the TSC to address the issue swiftly.

As of now, the commission has yet to issue a statement regarding the portal’s malfunction or any possible resolution to the problem.

In the meantime, teachers remain in limbo, waiting for the system to be restored so they can apply for positions that could determine their future in the teaching profession.
