TSC Principal Transfers Hit Kisii County Secondary Schools.

Secondary schools in Kisii County are among those affected by the ongoing nationwide teacher transfers.

In a circular issued by the Kisii County Director of Education, Philip Chirchir, it was instructed that principals immediately hand over their duties to their successors.

The letter, signed by Kipkurui Kirui on behalf of the Director, also provided clear directions to Sub-County Directors to oversee the handovers in Nyamache, Kenyenya, Kisii Central, and Masaba North Sub-counties.

Details of Affected Schools

The transfer process is continuing in Kisii South, Etago, and Sameta Sub-counties. In Nyamache Sub-county, several schools are undergoing leadership changes, including Ekeonga, Nyabite, Ebiosi, and Usena Mission secondary schools.

Additionally, Nyisia and Ibeno Secondary Schools in Kisii Central Sub-county will also be receiving new Principals.

In Masaba South, Riabigutu and Geteri PAG Secondary Schools are among the institutions affected.

Furthermore, Kisii South Sub-county will see leadership changes at Genga DOK St. Raphael Nyangena and St. Andrews Mogumo secondary schools.

Schools in Gucha South and Marani Sub-county are not left out. Tabaja Township and Nyamonaria secondary schools in Gucha South will also receive new Principals, along with Eramba, Nyakeyo, and Nyabworoba secondary schools in Marani Sub-county.

Kebabe SDA Secondary, whose students were allegedly involved in the controversial KCSE examinations last year, is also seeing a principal transfer.

Sub-County Transfers

The changes extend to Etago and Sameta Sub-counties as well, with Nyatwoni, Maroo Esinde, and Nyacheyo secondary schools in Etago, and Nyaguku Secondary in Sameta set to receive new leadership.

The Director’s letter emphasized that the affected principals should view these transfers as a routine administrative procedure and not as a punitive action. They are expected to report to their new stations promptly and prepare for their upcoming responsibilities.
