Intern Teachers’ Confirmation

This recruitment is part of TSC’s efforts to confirm 46,000 intern teachers on a permanent and pensionable basis starting in January 2025. For this, the commission received Ksh.13.4 billion from the Treasury.

Macharia informed MPs that the TSC is in the process of collecting employment forms and offer letters from its county offices. The newly hired teachers are expected to report to their respective schools by January 2025.

“Currently, the commission is in the process of receiving the employment forms and offer of employment letters from its county offices. The teachers will report to schools by January 2025,” Macharia said.

Teacher Promotions

In relation to promotions, Macharia noted that Ksh.1 billion was allocated for the promotion of teachers in the 2024/2025 financial year.

She also mentioned that the commission is in the process of advertising the vacancies to initiate the promotion process.
